Fixed pop-up windows

I am designing an Intranet page for our firm that will essentially be a page of links to other sites.

Some of those sites require a username and password to access, and what I would like to do is to have a small pop-up window appear over the main window with the relevant username & password so that the users can copy the details.

I know how to fix the size and position of the pop-up, but is there any way to make sure the small window stays in the foreground even when the main window is clicked on, so that the user can read the input details.

If youn were to do that the user would never be able to focus on and access the other, main window.
