hey everyone, first post here and its regarding an issue i am having relating to accessing my site, which others dont seem to have and i am wondering if anyone has heard of this before.

my site is http://www.ruff-edge.com

problem i have found is that this morning i could view my site and access all areas of it.
but this evening when going to work on it and try get the code up to standard and add content, for some reason i couldnt get onto it, i couldnt access the site through the normal http address or through my ftp but friends who i asked to try the address could view my site.

i have viewed restricted sites, cleared cookies and temp files to try clear my web, flushed out dns after reading on somewhere that could help but didnt.
i have spent hours looking around the web for help, either im missing areas that help or to me there is nothing.

i am just wondering if anyone has crossed this issue before in order to get me back on track.

thank you for your help

Might be way out in left field but have you considered that your connection/broadband/dialup was not working. Mine frequently indicates that I am connected but all I get is 404 pages. I use a small program called Net Medic which shows if any data is actually moving up and down the pipe.

Just a thought!!!

Dear Ruff:

I don't bother with the majority of the measurements in Net Medic - the only part I watch is the graph moving from right to left when data is received or sent.

In the early days of dial up I found the rest of the measurements were not accurate but I do trust the graph.

I now would not to be without of it as I could go nuts watching blue bars moving across the bottom of a browser - they never seem to move!!!!

Good Luck

Jack
