Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for their help with my (sometimes simple) queries.

I understand that PR is quite complicated and isn't an exact science however I've got the feeling as if my site has been punished for some reason - mainly because similar sites have significantly betters SERPs and PR scores.

If someone could have a quick look and tell me what is really wrong with it. With regards to link popularity - it is very high. I've tried to get onto dmoz to no avail so far - but I've got some good quality links on related categories.

I just don't understand how the following site can boast a PR score of 3 whereas mine is still 1 - is it all down to the dmoz listing because I can't see any other reason why.

www.dial-a-reco very.co.uk

www.beechesrecovery.co.uk

Any help would be most appreciated.

Kind regards and Happy Christmas

Many times it's hard to tell where all the incoming links are coming from. Also, as only Google knows the ranking system, they could have 5 links with high ratings that could wipe out 20 that you have with lower ratings. For the most part just provide good content for your users with the approiate links and reciprocate with others. Build for the visitor, not the seach bot.

Got some relative web pages which PR is higher than 4 to link to your site.
It will help.
