Can asp change content on a page after the page has loaded, much like javascript can with .innerHTML, in fact exactly like that. I want to convert as much of my code as possible to asp (or some other server side language) so that those non-js enabled browsers can view my creations.
If asp cannot change page content after it has loaded, then are there any other ssl's that can.
I don't need any examples of a script that will do this, because I haven't learn't any asp, cgi, perl etc. yet. I am going to pick one to learn soon, but the one that I pick will pretty much rely on the answer to this question.

I see, so I'll have to load the entire page again (at least for those non-js enabled browsers).
OK, new question, I've seen people ask which ssl would it be easiest to learn and the answer always seems to be, well that depends on you. So the question that I'm going to ask is, in your opinion, which ssl do you find easiest to learn?
And if anyone else reads this post, feel free to answer this question, the more the merrier.:)

I think I'll be buying an ASP book then, it also seems that there is more support for it in these forums as there are more posts in ASP than the others. Thanks for the info Dave. :)

Almost one of the authors, that's quite impressive. But I have to say, I borrowed the 24 hours version of that book of someone at school and someone (I think it was you) recommended buying the 21 days version, which I have right here.
I have to say though the index of it isn't very good, there's just so much they've missed out, I suppose that's the price you pay when you cram in so much content, there just isn't enough room to reference it all in the back. :)
Edit: By the, who's SAM?

That's a shame because I need a good reference guide.
Do you know of any books that may be better at this sort of thing?
Edit: I read it but it just goes in one eye and out the other. :D

I've got a problem with online references, because I can't always go online when I want to find something out.
Also, I don't know about you, but I find it easier to read something on a page rather than on a screen.
Thanks for the links though, I'll have to chack them out later. I got to go right now, it's tee time where I am (7:15 don't you know). :) :) :)

No, not today. That was yesterday. Today I had chips (not fries), a beef burger (not a ham burger), and baked beans.
Edit: I know that you call lifts, elevators, and I know that you call jam, jelly, but is it really true that you call scones, biscuits? And if so, what do you call biscuits?

I don't know how to make scones so I'm afraid we can't compare, but now I'm wondering, do cookies (as in js) have anything to do with cookies (as in biscuits)?

Oh my God, I can't believe we got from ASP making scones. That should go down as some sort of bizarre world record. :) :D :)

If your interested, today, I went out and acquired myself a copy of:
SAMS Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL(tm) and Apache in 24 hours
They didn't have the SAMS ASP one in stock.

It's all one, not very good, book. I think I've got to buy another book that will allow me to decode it. It says that only minimal knowledge of HTML is needed, which I have but, I can't even figure out how to configure MySQL.
There are so many terms that I've not even heard before, I'd give you an example but I don't have it with me right now.
Also, I think I have to be on the internet before I can use the programs that come with it, this is VERY annoying because the computer that I will be doing most of the coding on isn't connected.
Never mind, it's only £21.99 down the drain,. I think I'll go and pick up an ASP book, or is ASP just as confusing as all of this?

I think I'll have to go with the chillisoft option as I've got Win ME home.

I just got the book SAMS ASP 3.0 today and I was wondering if you knew anywhere where I could download Apache with ChilliSoft's ASP, (preferably for free).
