script test please..

Anyone know why this script I adopted from MSA (Matt's Script Archive) isn't working correctly.. I changed the variables as suggested in readme.txt and during the first test it's gives me an error.
????

I just want to set up this simple search to run out of the host's cgi-bin. (www.hostway.com)

Based on the path to your script it appears your server is running on a Windows machine. Matt's search script is Unix specific. So you'll either have to find a different server or a different script. I would recommend a different script. :) Matt's scripts are notorious for being poorly written, buggy, and insecure. Even Matt no longer recommends his own scripts.

ah.. yes.. I checked the host site and it is a windows server. thank you.. it's people like you who keep the newbies chugging along to figuring out new challenges.

do u recommend any solid script sources that I can use in getting started?
