How to use "Little Boxes"

Hey there.. I've been trying to learn how to use CSS for web site templates, and I came across this link: http://www.thenoodleincident.com/tutorials/box_lesson/boxes.html

Its a great resource and all.. but I have no idea how to use the CSS code there. Can anyone help me learn about using CSS as a site template and how to implement those "Little Boxes" on my own site? Thanks.

try http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp It's quite quick to do and you'll be an expert at the end of it. maybe. lol.
