fade-through colors...

is there a way to dynamically make link/td colors fade from one to another....
ex:
td bgcolor starts of yellow.....yellow-orange.......bright orange...orange...red orange......red......dark red.....etc...

all of the orange links...
when you first mouseover em they turn blue and when you mouseover them a second time, they slowly fade to orange

ionno if its using dhtml, html, xhtml, javascript, java, flash, or anything, but i just wanted to know if it could be done in some way...

I don't know if this is how they have done it, but I made this which is a fade colour thing:

well.....on the page, their links, when onmouseover, slowly afde from one color to another.....
