Grabbing Windows username

Does somebody know how i can grab the windows username client-side?

If you are talking about browser a clent then forget it.Because JavaScript is not equiped at this point to get any information about the local machine or user.( come JavaScript version 2, things might be different)
If your client is a desk top app then
This will be programming language specific question.
