Is Wimpy AV good for ...

I want to allow people to upload videos to my site ( like youtube)
is Wimpy AV the best thing to use ?

My site is php based so I can database the videos into various categories etc.

Is anyone else here using this ? It would be nice to see someones site.:)

wimpy is a nice idea and works perfectly with mp3s...
but wimpyAV needs you (or your users) to convert the video files to flash (flv) which wouldn't even be that much of a problem if the quality/filesize would be ok. i tried to use it on an actresses website so the visitors wouldn't need a certain player but I deleted it again.
