.NET newbie

I am a web developer interested in the .NET framework and ASP.NET. I have had experience of PHP, MySQL.
I am looking to expand on business, and I find php etc. time consuming, I feel that the microsoft system is a lot better (project organisation etc.). What would you recommend doing? What do I need to get started?

Try starting at asp.net

They have tons and tons and tons of ways to learn how to code in .net I know a couple of php developers and they're blown away when i show them how easy stuff is in .net when compared with php.
