JS file location

Hi,

Can someone advise me when can I place JS code into a javascript directory. I noticed that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. My objective is to take a 50 line js file out of my HTML.

If you have a piece of javascript that is used again and again in your web pages, it makes a lot of sense to put it into a separate js file so that it may be cached separately from your HTML content.

It's nothing complicated... just save the file either in the same directory or in some js one and then reference it in your pages like this...
