I have a client who wants a way for people to post comments to his site. I would call that a guestbook. I used to have PurpleYin guestbook on his site but spam made me kill it. Since then, the PurpleYin released a newer version to combat spam; I don't know how good it works. Also since then, blogs were born.

If he just wants a way for people to make comments to him, maybe I could just put a formmail thing on there. Anyway, wondering if anyone knows something I could install that spam wouldn't kill it.

And something easy to install; he doesn't want to spend much money on me.

WordPress has an option where the Admin must approve a comment before it is posted/becomes public. That might be a way of combating spam.

Try the comments form here (http://www.webreference.com/programming/perl/comments/v.920/index.html). It can be moderated so it cuts dwon the spam that's displayed.
