I'd like to re-install my Windows XP Pro. Can someone point me in the right direction and give me some suggestions and tips.

Thanks so much! :)

Re-install as in a clear wipe of the hard drive or a repair of what you have now? If it's a reformat and install, then insert disk and follow instructions.

A repair of what I have now.

1) I can't email from email links within web pages.
2) Sometimes I can't switch users and/or logoff when more more than 1 user is logged on.
3) WMP doesn't work on the 2 other accounts on my computer.

How long would the re-install take?
Will I lose programs, software, settings, etc...

Thanks.

I look forward your replies.

I don't recall since it's been so long since I've done that. It's much quicker than a clean wipe and I don't think I had to reinstall software but there may have been a setting or two I had to reset.

In any case, it won't hurt to do it that way. You may find it's so boogered up you need to just reformat anyway. Windows is like that and it might be best.
