inputs lose focus on click - problem

All of a sudden a client reports that on our website and others when he clicks on a form input or editable div the cursor disappears - indicating that something is "stealing" the focus away. IE browser, win xp, virus scanned ( told them to do a adware scan - awaiting results ). Anyway, one have a clue?

Ok on further probing client - found out they got IE7 and then removed it. So IE 6 has corrupt support files... 8-((
