my computer will come on but it says please wait....and then an error comes up due to confirguartion or something your programs will not run properly and then code purple. Does anyone know the problem??

The type of error isn't strictly Windows specific see this forum thread (http://www2.geek.com/discus/messages/196/12229.html?1120707470) for a possible reason and solution.
In general, it is advisable to contact the technical support offered by your computer manufacturer.

Actually, upon further research, it is HP-specific and the thread that I linked to does offer the most likely cause and solution. If what you are doing is legal, then call HP technical support, if not then I'm afraid that it is against this forums policy to assist you.
