Hi,

I have this topbar In a website that I can't fix...
It a menu with submenus in another frame... the script normally would allow this (and it does)... but once I clicked an item the whole menu becomes inactive or loses focus.
damn... I was so close...

Anyway... I dont know what seems to be the problem.

Could someone take a look and tell me whats going wrong?

The example is at the following adress:
www.non-x-posed.com/new (http://www.non-x-posed.com/new)

If you choose "communicatie" and then "guestbook" you'll see what I mean. actually it the same for every other link but there is a page behind that "guestbook" link.
As you can see... after clicking the page is displayed but the menu become inactive... why oh why?

thanks in advance

Jim

I took a look on your scripts, and it's very complex. In your place i would take another script from http://www.dynamicdrive.com

I see what you mean...

I have an idea. When I refresh the page, everything works fine again. How about when you click a link, it change the main page PLUS it REFRESHES the menu page. The menu page being the top frame.

One question: How did you get the pulldown menu to drop into the bottom frame?

Zach,

The script allows to drop the submenus in another frame. Don't ask me how. Me an JS are just strating to know eachother.

Anyway for now the problem is solved... I found the original script for what I wanted to do ... the first script was a cheap copy without the manuals.

It can be found on the Dynamicdrive website, its called HVmenu.

I'll post an url with a nice worked out menu soon.

greetings

Jim

Dave,

I did not found 'another' script that does work... I found 'the same' script that works... The original script that I found was not complete. There was no manual with it.

I tested and customized the script and works incredibly well now.
