Wireless card connect utility???????

my roomate have the swl-2300 wireless card in his laptop and we cant find the software for it.... but im looking for a better software thats universal that he can use to connect to the wireless access point because windows xp built in utility is garbage.... can anyone tell me some of the top ones????
