Credit Card Info - how to access later

Hi - I'm setting up an e-Commerce site for a client where they will be needing to charge the customer on the initial order itself, but then later on as well (for freight charges - they are a tradeshow contractor). Right now, they are doing this over the phone, so it isn't an issue, but my question is how we store/access the information on-line, without storing the cc numbers in a database (which I know is a big no-no!)? We're planning on developing an ASP site using Candypress shopping cart and Authorize.net as the gateway (they have an internet merchant account). Can I access the info using authorize.net?
