One thing i noticed, your banner pics are all 40k+
Use Save for Web in Photoshop and mess with the jpeg settings and you should be able to get between 20-30k file sizes. if you cant i will do it and repost the images.

I did actually use the Save for Web in Photoshop options but much look into it further to push the fie size down, thanks for pointing this out!

I find that using jpg option, arount 30-60 quality works great. make sure u have web colors selected and have optimize on. You should never save it if you have a loss of any visual quality. (please note that an image saved for the web will look rediculous in print, but this is irrelivant to your case)

I noticed that you greatly reduced the file size of the banners (wow some are 14k!) But you appear to have lossed some visual quality. I would pull up the originals and try it again. A helpful tip to gauge whether there is quality loss, is to scrubb the quality bar. I usually find that noticable quality goes out the window around and below 40, but it really depends on the image.
