Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find information on string size limits. I've searched through page after page online all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I'm also trying to find out the size limit of the innerHTML property, again no luck...
Thanks,
- Yaron
The limit probably depends on each individual computer, since many computers have different memory and processing capabilities, it can hold more in a variable or less.

I believe that it cannot be longer than 1.7976931348623157e+308 characters long.

Uh... Go, Charles!! :p I don't know if you memorized those numbers or what, but... What's the "e+" part for?

I believe that would be JavaScript's way of displaying scientific notation...
Um... Well, I figured that much, but I don't know what it "means."

It means 1.7976931348623157 x 10 to the 308th power or 1.7976931348623157 with the decimal point moved 308 places to the right.
And no, I didn't memorize the thing, I cut and pasted from document.write(Number.MAX_VALUE)
Okay, thanks. lol. You had me shocked for a while there. I was like, "how could he memorize that!?" lol. :)
