help with javascript

i am trying to get in a live chat forum but i can not view it. i was told i need to upgrade javascript and i do not know anything about javascript can anyone help a computer illiturate. thanx any help will do.:confused: :confused:

on the top right side clickon "Download"

and if you get to download page that means you need to install the JRE if not the page will show that you already have software installed...in that case ask the chat site to tell you what exactly you need to do.

ok i did what you said and i am downloading it right now. thats going to take about an hour. what is jre i did not see anything about it on the download page. i am sorry for buggin ya thanks for the help. i can follow instructions but am dumb about this here computer.
