Need help! I have a customer who wants me to design a site of luxury watches where once it's complete, he can change the pics & prices.

I have Dreamweaver, IIS & MSSQL2000 & can do my own hosting.

What's the best CMS considering that I know nothing of PHP or MySQL?
Is is possible to design a site then use CMS to modify it or do I need to start with a prebuilt template from an CMS software?

Thanks in advance for your response!

It will be quicker to start with the CMS and fudge your design if necessary. PHP can run with IIS and use SQL Server but it works better with Apache IIRC. You might review software at the http://opensourcecms.com site and see if any of those are IIS/SQL Server friendly or just start googling for ASP CMS or .NET CMS.

I've checked out the opensourcecms site but there's so many to choose from. Is there a matrix of their requirements so I can see which ones support IIS/MSSQL or do I just need to consider implementing PHP & Apache? Thanks for your response!

That site is all PHP/MySQL by default.

I've installed Apache & PHP but the PHP install browser pages come up as text & not the gui interface to start the instal. Any ideas?

I don't follow you. If you're having PHP installation problems then you might ask in the PHP forum here.

OK, I'll try that. Thanks!
