Dear All,

My Computer has encountered the following problems:

When I used Microsoft Java VM to browse the stock ticker program on web,
Internet Explorer will automatically shuts down itself. It occurred many
times...I tried to use Sun Java but the speed is exceptionally slow and it
even crash sometimes...
I tried to ask a lot of people but the problem still persists. Please Help
me! Many Thanks!

My System are as follows:
Windows XP Professional SP1 (All Patches has been updated on Windows Update)
IE 6.0 SP1
Microsoft Java VM ver 5.0.0.3810
192 MB Ram

The version of the Sun Java is the newest, when I use MS Java I disable it
so that there will be no conflict but it still not work. I tried to
uninstall it also but the problem is still there.

Okay..this will probably sound obvious (the "like DUH" type obvious) but have you tried defragmenting the drive and have "Fix Errors Automatically" checked....also, do you have a Ad Blocker program activated? That may be part of your problems...

May be a virus but it almost sounds like a file is missing somewhere.....

Have you tried another browser like Opera or NS?

I've had this problem many times... However the only decent fix is to either use another browser like I said above or to format and do a clean install.

Also I have yet to trust the Win XP service packs.

In the future also just install either the MS or Sun JVM.
