lead help please

I have Polderbits sound editing software as I wish to upload all my vinyl records and my tapes to the computer and convert then and download them as Audio CD's and MP3's.

Could anyone tell me what the best type of lead/cable I should buy to connect my Music System to my PC.
I know the music system has a ¼ inch jack plug socket and my computer sound card a 3½mm socket.

If your music system has tape/auxiliary outputs using a pair of RCA jacks, then I'd use them along with a cable such as this from Monster Cable: http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=135
