Hi guys,

Im just wondering how to make a online messenger including online call like yahoo or skype. Unlike yahoo or skype, I want my messenger services to run online from my website. Any opinion/advice? Thank you very much.

i believe that skype has an open api which you can use to make your own though it only runs in skype..there were many things you would need to learn to make a messenger with call but i know that flash communication server is easy to use(it is just a server and you can use the flash to design and create a messenger or chat with video)..with only message without call you can use ajax,php,mysql though im not sure if these were really efficient i manage to build one though and try to play it for sometime..

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes i know i will need a lot of things. I have checked the flash communication server. It looks promising but man the price is very expensive.

is there anybody knows which company provides VoIP to be embeded into the website? so far i can only find those who sell VoIP phone

i really don't know if there is free one..but check http://www.asterisk.org it is a free open pbx source code available in the internet (they say competitor of skype) or yes maybe skype though you must be a skype member to use their api.ill post a thread when i found one..good luck!!

im also looking for a free one for a long time so far no luck..
