here's the situation: i have a PC (compaq running xp) and a laptop (acer aspire 1300 also running xp).. the pc has an internet connection (TalkTalk broadband[worse ISP EVER]) that i want to share with the laptop, the pc and laptop are networked using a pair of Bluesoleil bluetooth dongles and i'm pretty sure it can be done i just dont know how... i've been trying for an hour now but am totally stumped?

so far i've; set up the bluetooth network and i can pair the two devices successfully and ftp accross bluetooth successfully, but no internet connection on laptop? kind of expected i guess but i want the laptop to connect to the internet through the PC's internet connection... can it be done? and can anyone help me or point me in the right direction(articles/software etc.)?

cheers in advance, Jam.

Is internet connection sharing enabled in the checkbox?

Any firewalls in place and checked your security settings?

Internet connection sharing can be difficult to set up though. Usually its one niggling detail. Try the linky below, valuable resource with loads of networking info.

okay the share internet connection check box is checked on the network properties for the network between the pc and laptop... is that right or do i need to have it checked for the talktalk connection instead (when i check it on one it disables the other i think?)....

and i dont have any firewalls in place but i remember windwos own firewall being a bit touchy about networks in previous use so i'll check that

p.s. if i didnt mention before i'm using a personal area network and so far the only problem is getting the internet connection on both =[...

cheers for any help in advance... Jam
