amateur needs help.

I just started using some Javascript to put on a site. i was just copying and pasting the stuff from "the javascript source" page. and i was wondering how you get two or more things to run/work at the same time. i followed the instructions it gave me to apply the things to my site. but when i did, they wont work because im using them simultaneously. haha, if thats how you spell that word. but i need to know how to apply more than one thing to a webpage. thank you very very much for any help.

1) How do you get two things to run at the same time? That kind of depends upon what the two things are.

2) I'll bet you a nickle that the scripts you are trying to use are poorly written.

What then are you trying to do?
