Okay... I want to take some pre-existing images, and make an animated GIF.
I have a set of .JPEGs, and a set of PSDs. I want to animate both sets.
So, how do I do it? I need info, step by step, from the start, in Photoshop, then I need to know what to do in Imageready.

And, yes... The tutorials that I looked at did kinda suck...
I find that most of them do.
And none of them told me how to get actual photos (that's what I'm using. Don't ask why, I have my reasons) into Imageready.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Your not going to get anyone to write a step by step instructions on how to create an animated gif. I'd suggest that you pony up for a book. It doesn't have to be new. Half price books is great place to find that. Hopefully you have them in your area.

I haven't done animated gif for awhile so I'll try to give a general idea. Create amination.psd or file name you want. Put all graphics,jpg/png/gif, that you need to use in that psd file. Put all the moving parts or animations pix into each individual layers, your going to move them so seperate them. Once that's done, transfer them to images ready. You can do this by clicking on the "edit in image ready" button on the bottom of the tool bar. It will transfer all the images you have done in photoshop and put them into imageready. Once in imageready, you gonna have to create your animation slides and edit your graphic to create your animation.

I hope this kinda helps. A book will be alot better resource then most online tutorials.

Good luck,
Eugene

Well, can you explain how to create a PSD with layers? If anybody can explain that, I can take it from there.

PSD file is a photoshop file. You just need to start a new file and set your image reference, File/New. When you add different images it automatically creates a layer for it or just go to the layer window and there an option for it. Refer to your other thread, flashvillage's' reply.
