How to change colour with Photoshop?

I have sample of button in format psd.

How to change colour on such buttons?

Need help.

You can try to either adjust the hue of the entire image. If that fails try placing a layer above the image and colour it with the colour you want, then play with the blending modes and opacity until something works. Sometimes it is just easier to recreate the button and save a psd file for future.

What are steps to place a layer above the image and colour it?

Create new layer: Layer menu > New > Layer
Select a colour (I'm sure you know how to do that)
Select the Paint bucket tool.
Click on the document to paint the layer.

on a mac hit option delete to fill the area with colour (you may have to select all first Apple A). On PC its prob control delete. However, if you select all via the menus (SELECT) and fill (EDIT/FILL/Foreground colour) you'll achieve the same.

As this is as easy as pie I'd suggest you get a basic PS book, but if you wish provide a link to your file and the colour you wish to change it to and I'll do it for you.

sixth down on the right if you click on it and it'll give you the option to change to paint bucket at the moment it is on gradient.

BTW, the paint bucket is in the same position as the gradient tool, just hold on the tool and a sub palette will appear.

Hi, I have found. CTRL+gradient tool

Do you know how toi change colour? there is colour overlay check box and I would like to have white colour of text.

The gradient tool by default creates a gradient from your foreground to your background colour. To change either of these click on the fore/background colour icon (lower part of your tool palette) and select another colour (via rgb, hsb, lab, cmyk or pantone). Or, use the eyedropper to select a colour of your choice.

The paintbucket will fill with your foreground colour you have chosen.
