MySQL promlems!!

I downloaded and installed mysql and mysqladmin just the way you are supposed to. Everytime i start mysql whether it be from command line or the gui interfaces...it goes from green light right back to red light within 5 seconds. I have tried EVERYTHING from uninstalling and installing it to restarting my pc every 5 secs. please help!

This happened to me also,

what O/S are you using? and
what does your my.cfg look like?

I'm using Windows XP and I don't know where to look for the file you are speaking of. Help?

in you email him, tell him KarterJK (Don) sent you

if you have further problems after that let me know

oh......after you go through his tutorial and install

going to c:mysql\bin> mysgld <--- that starts the server

then your winmysqladmin.exe should operate properly
