Opening files in frames

Does anybody know how i could display a .ddf or .def or .mod extension file in a frame in Dreamweaver 3.0.

unless there is a specific plugin instaled for a specific file type,a browser typically opens html files in it and its capable of (limitied to browser support)rendering the following types of files
*.js
*.css
*.xml(very limitied support NS6+ and IE5.5+)
