Is there any way, using scripting or whatever to, just for one site, use the firefox rendering engine inside IE?

No. Firefox has an extension to let you run IE inside Firefox, though. Called IETab.

There is a Gecko Active-X control that, for example, HTML-kit uses for embedded previews in addition to IE previews.

I found the right thing, but thanks anyway, http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/,
there, and its a small javascript library that fixes the rendering for IE on every page you call it on.
