Hi all,

On the corner of my site I have a ribbon, I thought when the page loads it would be cool to have the ribbon fall from top to bottom like a ribbon really would, just not sure the best way to achieve that effect, anyone seen anything like this before? I've attached the image of the ribbon if that helps...

Depends how realistic and what type of motion. You could probably achieve a very usable effect using flash tweens. After Effects would also be good but could also end up being a huge file size. If you want something super realistic then I'd animate the ribbon using a 3D package like Maya.

If you go the Flash route, i'd recommend either frame-by-frame animating it or use a series of some pretty crazy shape tweens. The reason you'd want to do that is so you can handle the flowing movement of the ribbon and adjust the shadows as necessary so that it doesn't look flat and lifeless.
