I am not a programmer, I am a Ecom Project Manager. I have only worked on sites that use traditional site structure 9.HTML, .ASP, .CSS .JSP, etc.)
I just started at a new job few weeks ago. One of the things that I have learned about the site I am working on is, it is built on an AS400 server using programs to serve content instead of housing it in directories like is normally done. I am seeing some problems with this, but I am not sure if it is just because I am not used to this structure, or if it is really just the not the best way to do things.
If I am right and this is not a good way to run a site, I would like to propose changing, but I would need some strong business reasons to do that. any thoughts on this and maybe a resource that I could look at to back that up would be welcome.
