Hope this hasn't been asked too often. I did browse around but wasn't sure what terms to use to search for, for this one.

I'm seeking a way to create a still Flash image that has a couple of tiny, invisible "hot" spots on it. Site visitors who happen to click on two or three small points would trigger an event such as a Flash change or perhaps a Javascript/Ajax popup. Nothing happens until all three spots are clicked on (in sequence). The purpose is to hide a login, or a piece of content, in a subtle way, and the Flash is intended to masquerade as a simple image and not be obvious about being a Flash document.

I'm still getting my feet wet with Flash and am a ways away from being proficient, and wasn't sure what I was looking for. Is there a specific function that already handles this, and where would I go to get started? Online examples and walkthroughs would be very nice. TIY.

Hi,
You could create some invisible buttons and place them where you want. Then you could hide the hand cursor so no-one would know they were there.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I was considering hidden buttons myself, but wasn't sure about the sequencing idea. One possibility would be to have button #2 only show up (albeit invisibly) once button #1 was pressed, and so on, and have them reset if the cursor clicks anywhere else on the page or in the Flash content. Not asking anyone to do the work for me, but if anyone does happen to know of any specific examples they'd like to point me to, that would be great, as it would likely reveal flaws in my strategy or design.
