Web gallery and passing variables

I have an existing web gallery with many images that I am trying to add a "purchase page" to that will be accessed from a "buy print" button on the last page of the gallery containing a full sized image.
I am really a :confused: noob at this and need a little help or direction to get the image to be passed on to the purchase page from the buy print button--showing up as a smaller image (or thumbnail)
The purchase page then contains the ordering info (which I know how to do)
Basically I need to know how to write the code to pass that image on.

It would be dependent upon the type of scripting you're using -- how are you processing your ordering info?

I am actually using a JAlbum cart that I have inserted the paypal cart on that last page now.

I would like to put just a "buy prints" button on this slide page, replacing the existing cart and then have it open a new page with a smaller thumbnail of the image and paypal cart shopping cart.
I know I can link a page for each image individually--but there are hundreds of images.
Possible? for me to do, or am I over my head here and should hire someone to do it?
