CSS images replacement - For flash too?

Hi CSS gurus.

I am thinking of doing adding some flash content to my site. Does CSS also work to replace text with flash the way you can with images?

I doubt straight CSS will do the job but you might want to check out how uComics does the image/flash replacement on Calvin & Hobbs. Javascript definitely plays a big part there.
