Greetings!

I have a client that seems to be unable to reach certain URLS on the Internet. It usually fails in the dns lookup stage. They can reach many URLS without problem but there are a few that they just can not get to on a consistant basis. Unfortunately, one of these is the domain they just purchased and which I developed the web site for them :( So you can see that this is an issue I need to resolve somehow.

I have tried access to the new domain/web site from many major ISP vendors and there is no problem reaching the web site.

Yes, the DNS addresses were set up more than 72 hours ago. The DNS server addresses were entered at network solutions over 1 month ago and since I can reach the web site from any ISP I try except for my client's, I am assuming that the DNS server addresses have been propagated as much as they will be.

I have even tried to reset the DNS server addresses again at Network Solutions thinking that the propagation somehow did not get as far as it should and a re-propagation might push them further.

Any suggestions as to what the problem may be and how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!

Joe,

Any chance your client is running a firewall?

Can you Ping the IP address of the site from their location?

Also do a traceroute to the site.

Any chance you can move the domain again to somewhere they can see it. Chances are if they are blocked others that might want to use the site will be blocked as well.

If it's a firewall you have options but check it out.
