When creating a new document in word, I get about a page or so written when suddenly I get a message "save your work" or "not enough disc space." Once I save, the document is suddenly in read-only mode and I cannot continue writing in it. If I close it entirely, I cannot then open it and all that work is gone.

I have had this computer for about four years; I have plenty of disc space and memory. This happened on my previous computer and it finally crashed altogether. I do a lot of cut-and-pasting from the Web into word; someone suggested it was because of "broken fonts" in the program and I'd have to unload and reload. But if I reload, I'll have to buy a new one, correct?

Help!

The message is probably coming from the AutoSave function (Tools|Options - Save Tab|Save AutoRecover info ).

As to why it thinks you're out space, sounds like a File System or disk issue. Try going into My Computer, right click on the disk that you use to store the documents and select Properties, go to the Tools Tab and click the button next to Error-Checking. Check the boxes next to "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors". Click Start.

I meet this question too, becasue the word document is too large, when I try to post a large photo.Install a large memory or clean your harddisk, may clear this question.
