Is there a way of turning off the sound of my music player in Flash once a popup screen is clicked on from the Flash movie?

I have a sound player and little thumbnails in my movie which when cliked on open up a pop up window with videos playing. Problem is the sound from the main movies making it difficult to hear the sound from the videos.

If there is a way of muting the sound till the popup is closed please let me know.
