Drop Shadow - Fireworks

Hi,

Could anyone shed some light on how to add a drop shadow to the left and right sides of my layout via Fireworks? Each time I try, I add a drop shadow to the inner right side of the gray left panel, not the outer left side of my gray panel which is desired. My layout is linked below via a zip file.

If you open the properties toolbar, and use the drop shadow option there, you'll see a little wheel you can turn that will set the angle at which you want the shadow dropped.

As a follow up, how would one add a drop shadow to both left and right sides of my header piece?

Think I've figured out how to do what I want.

You can copy that layer (that you want to add the shadow to) and apply the drop shadow to it. So, you'd have layer 1 with the left drop shadow, and layer two, which is on top of it, with the right drop shadow.

Hadn't thought of that approach. I was going toward something else, but that might work as well.
