Java corrupt or misinstalled

I use to be able to always play pogo.com games, now all of the sudden I get the message Java corrupt or misinstalled. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, that didn't help. What else do I try?

Well, since this is a JavaScript section you'll be lucky if you get an answer about Java here. You might do better going to the Java section and asking there. I've never had to "reinstall" Java and JavaScript is either turned on or off for you browser, the two are completely different languages and are used in completely different ways.

JavaScript is part of the Browser, Java is an add-on which Microoft is no longer supporting, or at least they are trying hard to discontinue all support for it since to support it they would have to pay royaltees to SUN (I believe), heaven forbid that MS should EVER have to pay anyone else for their software or ideas!
