Hi. I am new here, so please bear with me. I have read the Forum FAQ's and could not find answers to my questions. They are:

1. Are we allowed to post, looking for paid assistance from members?

2. Are all post checked by admin/mods before showing up on Forum?

3. If they are, "ballpark" - what is the average wait time?

TY so much. - Paul

1. Are we allowed to post, looking for paid assistance from members?I'm fairly sure you are, you can't advertise jobs as such, but if you want to offer some cash in exchange for a good answer then that's fine and we will all laugh at you.

3. If they are, "ballpark" - what is the average wait time? No, they are not.

From what im aware of there is a moderation queue for keywords so some users posting some threads with certain keywords may not have their thread appear immediately

Remember even if you post a thread, if its against the T&C a mod can lock it straight up .. This page will help you out with any questions

I have no problem being the object of ridicule - as long as my needs are met. ;) Here's the scenario: I have problem. You fix problem. I pay you. You laugh at me. I sleep like a baby. Sounds like a plan. What do we do next???

No, they are not.

Already perused that. No mention of my issue. Never thought it would be so hard to pay someone for a little help, but I do understand the pitfalls.

Thanks - Paul

It's not hard to post asking for paid help, it's just not permitted here. You can post things like that on guru.com or dice.com or similar site.

It's the posting of the offer that violates the rules, not the responses. We have an agreement with certain sites that we won't allow job postings, and we have to honor it.

Wow! A mind reader, too. Your signature does not do you justice (even with the typo).

I would never make such a post. I alwaye endeavor to treat people with common human decency and a modicum of congeniality. I treat professionals with respect for their skill and appreciation for their assistance. In other words, I treat others as I would like to be treated. It's obvious how you treat people, but again, referencing your signature, I will not attempt to argue with you.

Don't get out of the house (cave) much, do you? Be well. - Paul

This thread is going down hill real fast. I'm going to lock it before it goes any further. I think the original question has been sufficiently answered anyway...

Wow! A mind reader, too. Your signature does not do you justice (even with the typo). If you're referring to the "an hero", I think that may very well be one of the obscure cultural references. Google for "an hero" and see.
