Tried doing an animated GIF using Flash. We have been using Adobe Illustrator CS to generate GIF images from engineering drawings. We have been doing so with a resolution of 300 dpi. When converting to Flash, Flash reset the resolution to 72 dpi, (screen resolution).
I am unable to reset this resolution to 300 to make the images look like all the others images in the WEB site.
Am I missing something?

You too confound DPI with PPI. DPI (Dots Per Inch) has nothing to do with the screen resolution (nor any other digital resolution), and it is used only for paper printing quality.

Try, when using your GIF constructor application, to work with PPI (Pixels Per Inch) not DPI
