create new config key in Firefox

What are those lines that come up called in Firefox when you type "about:config" in the menu bar? I looked for and apparently do not have one that I want, called

browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs

This value (if it existed), needs to be set to "true" to help speed-up page-swapping. I apparently do not have this line and need to create it. -Does anyone know how to? :)


I set my

network.http.pipelining

to "true", and my

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

value I changed from "4" to "100".


These changes, -once initiated, should speed-up Firefox pageing by between 10% and 40%.

Just right click in the listing area and select new->boolean.

I did this as well - my paging speed did seem to increase.. Interesting..
