im the most newestestestestestestest person to asp there can be(if such word exists..)

and i need to know the following:

1)what does asp offer that other clinet-side languages do not?
2)where can i find good hosting that supports asp?
3)is there any other server-side languages prefered above asp(completely opinion, but oh well)
and 4)where can i find good tutorials?(excluding w3schools.com)

I reccomend asp.net because it is a newer technology. Server side technologies are a lot more secure then client side because the data is not just there in the source code, it also allows you to update data bases (store data like forum posts guest book entrys logins etc etc) and basically it can do a whole lot of things that you cannot do client side. http://europe.webmatrixhosting.net is good asp.net hosting, its free and its microsoft powered for asp.net only of cource its to get people to try asp.net, if you are interested give them a try.
