How do I insert media player in my web page?

So you visit places like my space and other musicians websites and you see their songs listing, you click the name of the song and it pops up a player that plays the tunes rather then letting them download to windows media player.

Some websites already have a player on the page like myspace, you just click on the name of the song and it starts to play. I'm interested in music and audio players only, not video.

The deal is to prevent downloads but allow people to listen to the songs.

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 to be specific.

Any ideas?

you want people to listen while they are on the site but not download it correct... Humm

I've seen this a couple of ways. One way is to make it a protected flash file this does 2 things.
1. it keeps them from exporting the file into any other media type.
2. it makes it easy to list on the page as you can have a play and stop button. for each song without the use of a media player.

The only real hassle is you have to learn another program to make this happen but it's fairly simple once you get the system down.
