Hi Everyone,

Got a question for you. The company I work for wants a flash intro for our site..I have tried to talkt hem out of it but they seem to want it anyway.

Ideally they want something exactly like this:

http://www.miamiboutiquehotels.com

But I don't feel like stealing someone else's work so I decided to download something from Istockphoto.

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup.php?id=1269211

Now I have the fla file and I downloaded the trial for Flash and I have tried to play around with it but it doesn't look right.

Is Flash anything like ImageReady?

Thanks,

Allie

Eww.. flash intro. You'll lose more customers than gain that way. :|

Personally, I think Flash is hard to use, especially when attempting to edit other people's work. It's easier to start off with your own project and build it using the skills you develop as you work with it. I suggest finding some online tutorials like these: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/learning.html

Good Luck -

Hi,
Flash isnt the sort of thing you can just jump straight into and produce quality results.
If you have flash then open it and hit F1. This will open the help docs and there are loads of basics there for you.
However, I agree that a flash intro may not be the coolest thing right now. Theyre a bit of a timewaster. Even though im a flash addict i still hit the "skip intro" button everytime.

Thanks...I know. This is happening totally against my wishes and I'm going crazy. Flash is pretty sometimes but it sucks to work with : (

One more question...how much do you think it would cost to pay someone to edit this fla file? It's not like they would need to create anything new. I was just wondering in case I give up.
