Links in Signatures

There's been some questions about links in signatures, and I was wondering: What criteria does a link have to meet to be allowed?

My understanding: You can put links to non-profit sites or your own web design site in your signature. No advertising is allowed.

We allow one type of commercial site, which is a member's own web design site, but no other types of revenue generating sites, nor any site with adult or offensive content.
