Sorry guys, IM getting a tad p***d off with the ****e pal adverts constantly firing off while IM trying to listen to music whenever my mouse accidentally rolls over the region that the advert occupies.
Can the site owner of this site or the administration ASK NICELY to get site pal to adhear to one of the Nettiquette rules about imposing AUDIO on people, All the "Responsible" advertisers do and have a little check box to "UNTICK" to enable the audio output.
I put into my Privacy section of the firewall I use the *.oddcast.com to block content but some how a couple of adverts are still showing up.

As the forum admin, I remind you that blocking the ads amounts to theft of the forum use, and we cannot guarantee that posting privileges will continue to be granted to users to admit to blocking them.
I suggest that you speak with site pal as I am not impressed with them.
I dont block adverts only site pal as IM fed up of the mouseover triggering the advert to spring into life. The issue being that they are imposing on me something that is not wanted... AUDIO and conturary to what you say about the forum rules, I have a right to chose what comes on to my computer just as you chose what to let on to yours.
If you cant be assed to deal with site pal, dont pull me up on blocking them, you wont play ball, neither will I.

Dont you ever have a bit of fun with them, trying to make them say exceptionally long words or anything? I wouldnt say i hate them but it scares the jeebus outta you when its late and night and suddenly her voice booms out from your unmuted speakers

This statement suggests you're not being truthful "oddcast.com to block content but some how a couple of adverts are still showing up."
You have the right to visit the forum or not visit it. We also have the right to block your access to it if you choose to circumvent the means by which the site is kept going.

Just curious, how do you get paid for these ads? I mean, is it per view, per click, flat rate, etc. I understand if you don't want to answer, but was just wondering.
Personally, I don't like most of your ads either, but I would put up with much worse to keep my favorite site free. I don't post that often, but read a very high percentage of the posts here just to gain the knowledge. I find the complaining about the ads more annoying than the ads themselves, since they are really what allow us to be here.
The ad companies could make them more user friendly, but seriously, there are many places I go on the internet that have much worse ads and not near the content.

Afraid I can't divulge that, as you speculated. Sorry

Your rights on this forum extend as far as the rules, which you agreed to upon joining. If you don't want the ad, then don't visit the forum. Blocking it amounts to, as Joe said, illegal use of the forum. If I come to your house and don't like your sofa, are you going to get rid of it? Do I have a right to demand what I want AT YOUR HOUSE?
I would like to sincerly thank the guys at the top for going to site pal and getting them to follow the more appropriate method of delivering their media.
I and thousands of other visitors can now listen without having the risk of blowing our cones or disturbing out listening pleasure or invading ones privacy.
Thx.
